Grade I millionaire, Lion Tamer, who stands at Clear Creek Stud in Folsom, Louisiana, was represented by his first winner from his first crop which are two-year-olds of this year. Liondrive, an accredited Louisiana bred colt by Lion Tamer out of Grand Slam mare Outta The Park, broke his maiden by a neck in a seven furlong turf event in 1:23 3/5 at Belmont Park today, September 23. Liondrive was bred by Rebecca Farms, Inc., is owned by Thomas Amenta and Thomas Amenta II, and is trained by Tim Ice.

Lion Tamer a multiple graded stakes winner of 8 races with earnings of $1,000,727.00 has been purchased privately with the help of bloodstock agents Matt Bowlings and Jamie Lamonica. The winner of the 2004 Cigar Mile (Gr.1) at age 4, and a troubled third in the TVG Breeders Cup Sprint (Gr.1) last fall has been acquired with the intention to stand Lion Tamer at stud for the 2007 breeding season. No decision has been made as to where Lion Tamer may stand.
In winning the Cigar Mile while racing in the colors of Michael Tabor, the Todd Pletcher trained Lion Tamer, defeated a stellar field which included Badge of Silver, Pico Central, Purge, During, etc.
